Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that affects the brain. It causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. Over time, it gets worse and can lead to death. There is no cure for Alzheimer’s, but there are treatments that can help manage the symptoms.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, accounting for 60-80% of all cases. Dementia is a general term for a decline in mental ability due to disease or injury. Alzheimer’s is not a normal part of aging. It is a progressive, degenerative disease that attacks the brain and affects a person’s ability to function.
